We have less than 3 weeks until graduation. I’ve been waiting for this moment since the first day of freshmen year, but as it quickly approaches, time is of the essence. I have a huge check list of things I must get done before that fateful day but it’s all a blur. How did these 4 years go by so fast?
It’s New York Fashion Week! Designers from around the world have gathered in NYC, one of the fashion capitals of the world. There have been multiple photo stories published today. Although New York Fashion Week ends tomorrow, the stories continue to come in on what will be in for 2015.
When I first started to do marketing for the company I work for now, I was very ‘by the books’. It took me a long time to figure out exactly what I wanted to put out there for the world to see. The more I see the different types of cliental from this area, the easier it is. The way people view design is that it’s a waste of time or too expensive to care about.
When you walk into a room, you don’t think about where you put your keys down or how your living room is arranged. The furniture that your keys call home is just something you liked and bought. But what’s the story behind that piece? What inspired the designer to create that? Why those colors? Why that shape? I often ask myself these questions at my job. Little details that the normal consumer doesn’t even consider are the big questions that only designers can answer.
